Teeth Whitening Sessions
Led teeth whitening is the newest technology for whitening your teeth safely and effectively.
The LED light enables the peroxide to break down and penetrate behind the enamel which enables optimal bleaching properties. This revolutionary technology can lighten teeth 2 to 8 shades in as little as 20 to 60 minutes! That is equivalent to 9 weeks of at home bleaching! We recommend booking an initial touch-up appointment to follow for best results.
What benefits might I see from teeth whitening?
Obviously, you will have a brighter, whiter smile. However, this is only part of the process. Because you have eliminated years of staining and darkening, you will have more confidence. You’ll smile more openly and experience a higher quality of life as a result.
Humans are social creatures, and not feeling confident in your smile can rob social situations of enjoyment. If your teeth are stained and yellow, you might have spent a lot of time avoiding situations where you might have smiled in front of strangers, or even spoken to new people. Teeth whitening can remove that obstacle, ensuring a happier, healthier life.
Will whitening cause tooth sensitivity?
While whitening can cause some tooth sensitivity, it is transient. Teeth sensitivity is normal and can be expected in most patients. The good news is sensitivity should subside in 48 hours or less.
Are there any foods or drinks I cannot have while bleaching my teeth?
For optimal results, you must not drink coffee, tea, Coke, or other tannic acid drinks for 48-72 hours after your treatment. Avoid dark colored sauces and foods. Anything that would stain your favorite white t-shirt is a hard pass for atleast 48 hours after your treatment.
You may not be a good candidate for teeth whitening if:
- You are under the age of 16
- You are pregnant
- You have chipped, cracked or otherwise damaged teeth
- You have not kept up with your oral care and regular dental visits
- You are a heavy coffee drinker and do not intend to cut back
- You are a smoker and do not intend to quit
- Your teeth are gray or brown, rather than yellow
- Your teeth are translucent, rather than opaque
